The only thing new with me is I finally found a rom of Shining Force CD. Yay!!
lol, growing up I never had a sega system, only nintendo systems, but my friend Justin had a Sega Genesis. He had a fair number of games, but the one I loved playing the most while over at his house was Shining Force. He had both the first and second games, but I only played the first one. What can I say? I never beat the first one so I didn't get around to trying the 2nd one.
Recently I decided to download a Genesis emulator (actually it's an all-in-one emulator that works with Genesis, Gamegear, Sega CD, and 32X games) and picked up roms for both of them. In the process I found out there were a lot more games in the Shining series than I originally thought, covering a couple different game styles.
So, I've decided to focusing on the ones with Force in the title since those seem to be the ones where you control a small army like in Shining Force I.
As of now I have Shining Force I & II for the Genesis and Shining Force CD for the Sega CD (which is a remake of the first 2 Shining Force Gaiden games for the Gamegear).
Now all I need to find are fan translated copies of Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict (the 3rd gamegear Shining Force game, which was never released in the US) and Shining Force III (which was released in 3 parts for the Sega Saturn. Part 1 was released in the US, but parts 2 and 3 were not).
Not to mention I'd need to find a Saturn emulator if I did find that game lol
